Women (and One Man) of Valor

Some of the pieces in this series have biblical roots.  They are inspired by women of the Old Testament–wise and often underrated characters who left an indelible mark on a patriarchal society.  Other pieces spring from my personal culture, a combination of Jewish, Spanish and big city American.  The lone male in this series, Herr Professor, is my response to academia, where I “lived” for many years.
